Slotegrator introduces PWA capability to bypass app store hurdles in iGaming

Slotegrator has upgraded its Casino Builder module with Progressive Web Application (PWA) functionality, allowing operators to offer an installable, app-like experience directly through a browser. This feature sidesteps the strict policies, lengthy reviews, geographical restrictions, and removal risks that plague native app distribution via Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

Players can install the PWA from their device’s home screen, benefiting from fast loading and integrated push notifications to boost retention. Olga Ivanchik, COO at Slotegrator, noted that mobile remains dominant for user acquisition but distributing native apps in iGaming is difficult. “Our new PWA feature gives operators an alternative that will be familiar to their players, while eliminating the complications related to conventional app stores,” she explained.

The system also gives operators granular control over when the PWA install prompt appears. Within two months, they can trigger the install bar immediately after a first deposit or schedule it daily, weekly, or only once as part of retention strategies. Installation widgets come as either a top bar or top banner, fully customisable with branded icons, messaging, and backgrounds to suit multiple frontends.

Targeting options let operators limit campaigns to specific devices – desktop, mobile, Android, or iOS – and design acquisition tactics per platform. Once installed, the PWA supports push notifications to re-engage players even when the app is not open. Mirror domain compatibility is another key feature: if an operator must change domains due to regulatory shifts, players retain access without reinstalling. Updates also deploy instantly to all users, bypassing app store approval delays.

The new PWA functionality is now live within Slotegrator’s Casino Builder module, complementing existing mobile acquisition and retention tools.
