Pragmatic Solutions' PAM platform was operational in Alberta from the province's regulated market launch on July 13, 2026, with AGLC registration. The company, already active in Ontario, now supports two Canadian regulated markets with its API-first platform.
Pragmatic Solutions' Player Account Management platform went live in Alberta on 13 July 2026, coinciding with the province's regulated online gaming market debut. The company, a supplier of PAM technology for iGaming operators, saw its clients—each holding the necessary provincial registrations—launch on the platform from day one.
The provider has been registered by Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC), which authorises it to supply its PAM platform to locally licensed B2C operators in the province. This approval builds on Pragmatic Solutions' established Canadian footprint, where it already supports licensed operators in Ontario.
Ashley Lang, CEO of Pragmatic Solutions, commented on the challenge of entering a new regulated market on opening day. “Launching on the first day of a new regulated market is a delivery exercise,” he said, adding that platform certification, licensing, integration testing, compliance sign-offs, and client onboarding must all be sequenced and timed in lockstep between the operator and the provider. Lang noted that while Ontario set a high regulatory standard for Canada, Alberta introduced additional compliance complexity—particularly through player account management functions such as self-exclusion integration, harm monitoring, marketing permissions, and regulatory reporting, all of which Pragmatic Solutions handles.
The company’s PAM platform provides the core infrastructure operators need to manage player accounts, wallets, payments, compliance controls, responsible gaming processes, reporting, and third-party integrations. Its open, API-first architecture gives operators control over their product roadmap and technology ecosystem while adapting to local regulatory requirements.
Beyond Alberta and Ontario, the platform is live and supporting clients in locally regulated markets including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Romania, and Malta. Pragmatic Solutions has also published an analysis comparing product mixes across Canada’s two regulated markets and examining the platform requirements of a casino-led market.
