ECL Water Street has completed its acquisition of The Pass Casino in Henderson, bringing its local gaming portfolio to three venues ahead of a renovation and reopening. Elsewhere in Nevada, Station Casinos has launched a new brand campaign and logo for its 50th anniversary in Las Vegas.
ECL Water Street grows to three Henderson properties
ECL Water Street has completed its acquisition of The Pass Casino in Henderson, Nevada, finalizing the deal on July 31. The venue is set to close temporarily for renovations, with no date yet announced for its formal reopening.
The purchase adds The Pass to a Henderson portfolio that already included Emerald Island Casino and the Rainbow Club, bringing the group's commercial gaming footprint in the city to three properties. Joe DeSimone, the casino's former owner, said ECL Gaming "has demonstrated a strong commitment to our community" and expressed confidence the new owner will continue investing in The Pass for years to come.
Tim Brooks, general manager of Emerald Island Casino and the Rainbow Club, has called The Pass "a cornerstone of this community" and said the company plans to build on the foundation established by DeSimone and his team. The property is also positioned as a key piece of Henderson's downtown redevelopment efforts, sitting next to the Atwell Suites hotel, which remains under DeSimone Companies' ownership.
Station Casinos marks 50 years in Las Vegas
Elsewhere in Nevada, Station Casinos has begun its 50th anniversary celebrations in Las Vegas with a citywide brand campaign and a new logo. The campaign and identity were developed alongside The New Company and the operator's in-house marketing team, designed to honor the company's history while presenting a more modern look.
Frank Fertitta IV, Station Casinos' EVP of operations, said the refreshed logo is "a meaningful nod to where we began" and to the local community that has been part of the company's story. He added that while the brand is evolving, the business remains committed to delivering value, genuine hospitality and a gathering place for locals over the next 50 years.
The operator traces its roots to 1976, when Frank Fertitta Jr. founded The Casino. The business later expanded into Bingo Palace and eventually became Palace Station in 1984.
