BoyleSports Selects AWS for Cloud Migration and AI Integration Amidst Expansion

BoyleSports, the prominent bookmaker, has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to overhaul its technological foundation. The partnership involves transitioning its operational infrastructure to a dynamic cloud environment, reinforcing its data management capabilities, and accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across its entire business.

This technology initiative follows BoyleSports' significant investment in the UK market last year, amounting to £100 million (approximately $136 million). The company aims for the AWS collaboration to underpin its ongoing expansion and improve operational efficiency and customer experience, especially during peak periods.

Under the agreement, BoyleSports will leverage AWS's comprehensive suite of cloud services to flexibly scale its computing resources. This ensures seamless performance during high-demand events like the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National. Additionally, the investment is set to enhance digital product offerings, including features such as digital racecards and its Smart ACCA tool, while enabling broader AI adoption through AWS's specialized AI teams and Bedrock services.

Jim Parkins, Chief Technology Officer at BoyleSports, highlighted the strategic importance of the move. He stated, “Our partnership with AWS gives us the flexibility and computing power we need to support our continued growth.” Parkins further emphasized the company’s commitment to smart technology and talented personnel to ensure a superior customer experience, noting the integration would facilitate demand forecasting and performance optimization.

The adoption of AWS's cloud services aligns with BoyleSports' broader expansion efforts, which recently saw the opening of its 400th retail establishment in Galway, Ireland. This continued growth demonstrates the bookmaker's dedication to developing its omni-channel betting operations.
