ESPN’s first two episodes of its 2026 WSOP Main Event coverage, which debuted on July 21 on ESPN2, gave substantial screen time to Americas Cardroom-sponsored pro Alex Foxen. The broadcasts covered the tournament’s opening flights and Day 2 action, with Foxen appearing regularly as he built his chip stack, applied pressure, and navigated key decisions. His Americas Cardroom patch was clearly visible throughout the television airings.
One notable hand showed Foxen facing an all-in decision against opponent Vinh Nguyen. After carefully considering the situation and engaging in some table talk with Nguyen, Foxen called and won a sizable pot, offering viewers a glimpse into his thought process.
Foxen came into the Main Event fresh off a victory in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em event, a win that earned him $594,246 and his fourth career WSOP bracelet. He had joined the Americas Cardroom Pro roster in May, alongside Chance Kornuth and Chris Hunichen.
The broadcasts also featured fellow Americas Cardroom representative Chris Moneymaker, whose participation carried historical significance. Moneymaker famously won the 2003 Main Event after qualifying through a low-cost online satellite, a victory that helped expand poker’s television audience.
ESPN’s long-term agreement with the WSOP encompasses over 100 hours of programming, including additional Main Event episodes and three nights of live final-table broadcasts.
