AGIB Reaffirms BEGE and EEGS 2026 Will Proceed as Scheduled, Dismisses Relocation Rumors

2026-07-10

AGIB confirms BEGE and EEGS 2026 will be held as scheduled in Bulgaria, denying rumors of a rotational format and urging stakeholders to rely on official information.

The Association of the Gaming Industry in Bulgaria (AGIB) has released an official statement confirming that BEGE and EEGS 2026 will take place as planned in Bulgaria, countering recent speculation about the events' future.

Resilience Through Challenges

For 17 years, AGIB has organized the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE) alongside the Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS). The association notes that despite economic crises, legislative shifts, the pandemic, and market turbulence, both events have been held annually without interruption. Bulgaria is now recognized as one of the leading and most influential gaming markets in the Balkans, spanning land-based casinos, online gaming, sports betting, and related sectors.

False Rumors Addressed

AGIB acknowledges that false information regarding the 2026 edition has been deliberately circulated in recent months, including a claim that BEGE would rotate between Bulgaria, Serbia, and Romania in successive years. The association categorically denies this: “BEGE will remain an international exhibition organised in Bulgaria, which is its home and the natural meeting place for the gaming industry in the region.” The statement stresses that such misinformation serves neither the industry nor Bulgaria’s interests.

Preparations Underway

Organizers report that preparations are progressing on schedule, with daily collaboration between exhibitors, partners, speakers, and institutions. AGIB urges stakeholders to rely solely on official communications from AGIB and the BEGE/EEGS organizers for all announcements, deadlines, and updates, warning that unverified reports create unnecessary uncertainty for companies planning participation.

Reputation Built on Trust

AGIB emphasizes that BEGE’s standing as “a symbol of professionalism, resilience, and continuous growth” has been earned through consistent effort and trust, which cannot be undermined by rumors. The association thanks all exhibitors, sponsors, and partners for their continued support and looks forward to welcoming attendees to the 2026 events.
