History and Evolution

Tutellus began in 2012 as a collaborative online education platform offering video‑based courses in Spanish, where teachers could upload content and students could learn in a social, community‑driven environment. By 2015 the platform introduced a subscription model and a corporate training service, growing to host more than 170,000 video courses and attracting a community of nearly two million students across 160 countries.

Recognising the transformative potential of blockchain, the company started a decentralisation process in 2017, creating the TUT utility token on the Polygon network. The token powers a “proof‑of‑learning” incentive system: students earn TUT for completing courses, while teachers are remunerated according to their educational impact. In 2018, Tutellus officially shifted from being a mere platform to a community, rebranding its logo and repositioning itself as “the crypto community where you can learn, develop and invest in tokenized projects.” It launched a blockchain training line and began incubating Web3 projects, and by 2019 it had introduced verticals such as Masterfather, a musical edutainment platform featuring top Latin artists.

The current business model rests on three sub‑brands: Tutellus TRAINING delivers Web3 and crypto courses, degrees, and career tracks; Tutellus BUILDERS helps students and community members develop their own tokenized projects; and Tutellus VENTURES provides investment and value‑creation support for those projects. Leadership

Miguel Caballero, the founder and CEO, has been leading Tutellus since its inception. He is a serial entrepreneur who previously founded Quoba (sold to IBM), NeoMedia, and MET. No other C‑level executives (CTO, CCO, COO, CFO, etc.) were found in the available sources.
