RCT Group traces its technical roots to the early 1990s, when founder Prof. Dr. Peter Fath pioneered high-efficiency crystalline-silicon cell research at the University of Konstanz and the Fraunhofer Institute. The first group company, RCT Solutions, was established in 2012 in Konstanz, Germany, focusing on turnkey engineering and ramp-up of solar-cell and module factories. By 2016 the workforce had grown to over 200 employees, and projects had expanded to four continents.
