  IAFAS (Instituto de Ayuda Financiera a la Acción Social) is the sole provincial authority responsible for the exploitation, administration, regulation, and fiscal oversight of all legal gambling activities in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina. Established as a decentralized state body, IAFAS operates under the provincial government’s mandate to generate financial resources for social action programs while ensuring the integrity and legality of gaming operations. The institute manages a diverse portfolio encompassing land‑based casinos, bingo halls, lottery draws, online sports betting through its proprietary IAFAS Play platform, and recently introduced the NOVA+ mobile application – a blocking and parental‑control tool designed to combat illegal betting sites. In addition to its regulatory and operational duties, IAFAS channels a significant portion of its net revenue into provincial social initiatives, including healthcare, sports development (via the Fondo Provincial del Deporte – Foprode), security, culture, and responsible gambling education. The institute has demonstrated consistent financial growth, reporting a net profit exceeding ARS 5 billion in June 2026 alone. IAFAS has also earned international recognition for its compliance frameworks: in January 2026 it became the first Argentinian lottery entity – and the third worldwide – to receive the CIBELAE Level 1 certification for Anti‑Money Laundering and Counter‑Terrorism Financing controls.
