  The Guy Harvey Foundation (GHF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by renowned marine artist, scientist, and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey. Originally established as the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, it was created to provide financial support for scientific projects that were stalled by complicated funding channels. The foundation rebranded in 2021 to better reflect its expanded scope in marine conservation, research, and education. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, GHF works to conserve nature's masterpiece by funding and conducting scientific research on billfish, sharks, and other marine species; developing and delivering free accredited marine science curricula to K–12 schools; and fostering the next generation of ocean stewards through hands-on education and field experiences. The foundation collaborates closely with the Guy Harvey Research Institute at Nova Southeastern University, Florida Sea Grant, and numerous other academic and conservation partners. Revenue comes from individual donations, grants, and a portion of proceeds from Guy Harvey branded merchandise sold by the for‑profit Guy Harvey Enterprises. With a small professional staff and a board of directors drawn from business, finance, and conservation, GHF has tagged thousands of billfish and sharks, trained hundreds of educators, distributed fellowship scholarships, and published dozens of scientific papers. As of 2026, the foundation hosts annual fundraising events such as the Love the Blue Gala and continues to expand its educational outreach across Florida school districts and beyond.
