The German Gambling Gathering is an invitation-only industry event series created to foster open dialogue among licensed operators, regulators, and key stakeholders in Germany’s online casino market. Founded by Christian Heins, the inaugural gathering took place in mid-2024 as the opening event of SBC CasinoBeats Week, hosted by Tipico. It brought together over 20 leading representatives from Germany’s legally licensed online casino sector for a structured roundtable discussion followed by informal networking. Unlike a traditional trade show, the German Gambling Gathering functions as a curated, recurring networking community designed to address the specific challenges of the regulated German market, including combating the black market and supporting industry associations such as the Deutscher Online Casinoverband (DOCV) and the Deutscher Sportwettenverband (DSWV), as well as collaborating with the national gambling regulator GGL. The event has since become a fixture in the German iGaming calendar, with its founder regularly speaking at subsequent editions of the Gaming in Germany Conference. The initiative does not operate as a legal entity or offer commercial products; its primary output is the curated networking and knowledge-sharing platform it provides to decision-makers in the industry.
